Event or Adventure, Jungle Island Has What You Need Perched on 18 acres atop Watson Island, between Downtown and South Beach is one of Miami’s oldest animal adventure parks. Established in 1936 as a parrot and exotic bird show, Jungle Island has evolved over the years into a full-day jungle experience and event location.
Activities at Jungle Island
While still home to flocks of exotic flamingos and parrots, who roam freely in the Bird Walk, Jungle Island is also home to a whole host of other exotic animals. Visit with big cats, kangaroos, orangutans, and a whole host of lizards. You can check out one of their educational animal shows, or book a private visit and get hands-on with some of the animals. Take a break between animal shows, put on your bathing suit, and head down to Parrot Bay, Jungle Island’s private beach. Spend some time relaxing in the Florida sun, or check out the Rainforest Riptide, an enormous floating playground, and obstacle course.
Events at Jungle Island
In addition to being a great destination for a day trip, Jungle Island doubles as a full-service event venue. Whether you want to host a memorable birthday party with private animal encounters, a sweet jungle-themed shower, or a romantic wedding, Jungle Island has what you need. They have several venues spread across the island, from the beautiful and newly renovated Bloom Ballroom to an outdoor terrace overlooking the Flamingo habitat. Jungle Island also employs an entire event and menu planning staff who will work with you to make sure your day is spectacular.
